TELLER

About the role

Bank of Pontiac is seeking a Teller for our Coal City, IL location. The Teller role provides outstanding customer service to develop new customer relationships, maintain our current customer relationships and ensure that Bank of Pontiac meets the financial needs of our customers.

Responsibilities

• Perform Teller transactions daily, paying specific attention to detail, accuracy, and efficiency
• Complete teller transactions including but not limited to cash deposits and withdrawals, check cashing, money orders and accounts transfers
• Handle cash transactions with accuracy
• Engage with customers to determine needs
• Maintain positive communications with customers and non-customers to develop new business and enhance relationships with existing customers
• Promote Bank of Pontiac products and services
• Adhere to bank policies and procedures
• Demonstrate the ability to make sound decisions based on Bank policies, knowledge, and experience
• Verify that all policies and procedures are followed, and that the risk of fraud is minimized
• Greet customers in a friendly, professional manner

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1+ years of banking experience is preferred but not required; we will train the otherwise qualified candidate

Schedule

Average 35+ hours per week. Required availability: Monday–Thursday 8AM – 5PM, Friday 8AM – 5:30PM, Saturday 8AM – 12PM.
