Telepsychiatrist - PRN

About the role

Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group is seeking a PRN Board-Certified Psychiatrist to join their Department of Psychiatry. The ideal candidate will contribute to the evaluation and treatment of hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses. This position is 100% virtual and requires working 2-5 shifts per month.

Responsibilities

• Help develop and lead an interdisciplinary team
• Evaluate and treat hospitalized and emergency room patients with complex medical and psychiatric illnesses
• Train in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired

Requirements

• Licensed in Texas and residing in Texas, Washington, Florida, Louisiana, or Georgia
• Training in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry, Emergency Psychiatry, or Internal Medicine-Psychiatry is strongly desired

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Criminal justice, security, or related experience preferred
