Teleprompter Operator

Responsibilities

• Operate Cue Script teleprompter by loading and running the script while following the talent
• Clean and inspect teleprompter hardware including monitor and reflective glass prior to broadcast
• Change size and color of text
• Deliver scripts to set
• Check closed captioning of recorded or live broadcast if necessary
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Television Production or equivalent work experience
• Working knowledge of computers and Windows operating systems
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
• 1-2 years of experience with live studio broadcast
• Comfortable with all aspects of the production
• Perform well under pressure and breaking news situations
• Excellent organizational skills with acute attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent listening skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment

Schedule

• Must have on-call availability and flexibility to work days, nights, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed and without advance notice (supports 24x7 operation)
• May be required to work on site for extended periods of time to provide coverage in special circumstances, such as during tropical storm/hurricane
