About the role

The Telephonic Nurse Case Manager provides remote medical case management services to injured individuals, many of whom were industrially injured. A Telephonic Case Manager assists consumers in their recovery so they may return to the highest level of function possible. Medical services are coordinated and assessed frequently, vocational options are explored with the injured worker and their employers, and pre-injury employment or alternate employment is secured. The Telephonic Case Manager works with all parties to the claim, including the injured person, the claim’s examiner, employer, attorneys (plaintiff and defense), and medical providers.

This position works Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 or 5 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Provide remote medical case management services to injured individuals.
  • Assist consumers in their recovery to return to the highest level of function possible.
  • Coordinate and assess medical services frequently.
  • Explore vocational options with the injured worker and their employers.
  • Secure pre-injury employment or alternate employment.
  • Work with all parties to the claim, including the injured person, claim’s examiner, employer, attorneys, and medical providers.

Requirements

  • Unencumbered Compact RN license (required).
  • Additional unencumbered California RN license (required).
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) certification (required).
  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking) preferred.
  • Additional RN licenses from New York, Nevada, or Oregon (preferred).
  • Other state endorsements/certifications: Maryland WCCM, Tennessee Registry, North Carolina QRP, Georgia Rehab (preferred).
  • Worker’s compensation case management experience (preferred).
  • ICU/ER experience (considered).
  • Professional licenses or certifications must be current, unrestricted, and allow for practice within a state or territory of the United States.
