Telephone Operator ( Per Diem, All Shifts)

Responsibilities

• Utilizes UA5200 system to send and receive calls on behalf of the healthcare system.
• Responds to medical and non-medical emergency codes, STATs, RRT, TDD, and overhead pages to support emergency code response.
• Maintains and operates telephone consoles for UMCPP.
• Processes internal/external calls daily in a professional courteous manner within UMCPP’s Safety and Quality standards.
• Works as the main resource for general and patient information calls, overhead paging, the link between hospital departments and outside community.
• Coordinates with appropriate departments regarding emergency situations and codes.
• Maintains emergency alarm systems and notifies relevant departments of alarm status.

Requirements

• H.S. Diploma/GED
• Two years telephone console experience or UA5200 training preferred

Pay

$16.55 - $21.70/Hourly

Schedule

As per need basis - available for at least 2 shifts a month minimum (shifts vary according to PTOs or vacation).
