About the Role
A skilled Telemetry RN will provide comprehensive patient care in a telemetry unit, focusing on cardiac monitoring and assessment.
Responsibilities
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs to detect abnormalities
- Administer medications and treatments specific to cardiac care
- Support cardiac procedures and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Observe and record patient responses, notifying physicians as needed
- Respond effectively to cardiac emergencies
- Educate patients on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols
- Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to deliver holistic care
Requirements
- At least one year of recent telemetry nursing experience
- Current RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications
- Critical thinking, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to move equipment and assist patients
- Proficiency in reading instructions, documentation, and PC use
- Ability to work under pressure, maintain focus, and handle irregular activity
