Role Overview

The Telemetry RN provides comprehensive patient care in a cardiac monitoring unit, focusing on continuous cardiac rhythm assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with healthcare teams to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs, responding to abnormalities
• Administer prescribed treatments and assist with cardiac procedures
• Absess patient safety and comfort, document conditions, and notify physicians of significant changes
• Respond to cardiac emergencies following protocols
• Educate patients on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
• Maintain compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications & Skills

• Recent one-year telemetry nursing experience
• Valid RN license, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical, critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Physical ability to move equipment and work in a stationary position
• Proficiency in reading instructions, PC skills, and visual acuity
