About the role

The Hospitals of Providence is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Telemetry for ongoing 36-hour shifts per week, rotating days.

Responsibilities

  • Assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per shift basis.
  • Supervising staff to ensure appropriate care is delegated.
  • Supporting the Chief Nursing Officer to ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, competency of clinical staff, and resource management.
  • Directing care according to established safety, risk management, QI, and Infection Control standards.
  • Coordinating and planning patient care within the prescribed medical regime.
  • Administering medications safely and in a timely manner according to hospital policy.
  • Participating in HICS (Hospital Incident Command System) responsibilities, assignments, tasks, and roles during emergencies and disasters.
  • Knowing and adhering to the hospital’s emergency codes and policies.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Preferred: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Preferred: Recent acute care experience.
  • Required: Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice as required by law, regulation in the state of practice or policy.
  • Required: AHA BLS certification.
  • Preferred: Additional certifications such as AHA ACLS, PALS, and NRP as applicable by corporate policy for the unit of hire.
