Responsibilities
- Documents and interprets patient’s cardiac rhythms at regular intervals to identify dysrhythmias.
- This is evidenced by obtaining and interpreting baseline rhythm strip on each monitored patient.
- Makes measurements and documents accurately the PR and QRS intervals on new & existing patients electronically.
- Communicates with registered nurse all arrhythmias and activates emergency notification system with any life-threatening rhythms.
- Provides a safe, clean, and orderly environment, contributes to efficient departmental operations to control cost and ensure productivity.
- Communicates equipment malfunctions to the clinical engineering department, nurse manager, or designee.
Qualifications/Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, or visitors.
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Previous nursing assistant, monitor technician, EMT, or PCT experience preferred.

Schedule
Part-time Days - 2 Shifts/week, 7am - 7:30pm.
