Telemetry Monitoring Tech - Part-time Day Shift

Responsibilities

  • Documents and interprets patient’s cardiac rhythms at regular intervals to identify dysrhythmias.
  • This is evidenced by obtaining and interpreting baseline rhythm strip on each monitored patient.
  • Makes measurements and documents accurately the PR and QRS intervals on new & existing patients electronically.
  • Communicates with registered nurse all arrhythmias and activates emergency notification system with any life-threatening rhythms.
  • Provides a safe, clean, and orderly environment, contributes to efficient departmental operations to control cost and ensure productivity.
  • Communicates equipment malfunctions to the clinical engineering department, nurse manager, or designee.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills when interacting with patients, staff, or visitors.
  • Basic reading, writing, and math skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Previous nursing assistant, monitor technician, EMT, or PCT experience preferred.

Pay

Schedule

Part-time Days - 2 Shifts/week, 7am - 7:30pm.
