About the role
Department: Telemetry Unit. Employment Type: Per Diem/PRN. Location: St. Mary's Medical Center, Blue Springs, MO.
Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, identifying and reporting abnormalities
- Assess, record, and document vital signs and patient status accurately in the medical record
- Notify clinical staff of significant changes in patient condition or telemetry readings
- Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and provide basic care support
- Educate patients and families on telemetry monitoring and collaborate with RNs to support care delivery
Qualifications
- Current and valid state license
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current IV certification upon hire (state specific)
- Employment status: Per Diem, variable shifts
