Responsibilities
- Measure and document vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, heart rate, respiratory rate, temperature, and oxygen saturation)
- Observe patients for any changes in condition, such as increased discomfort, difficulty breathing, or changes in mental status, and report findings to the RN
- Observe cardiac monitors and reporting any irregularities to the nursing staff
- Ensure telemetry leads and equipment are properly placed and functioning
- Act as a liaison between patients and the nursing team
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant certificate upon hire, required
- Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current
- Additional Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Possesses knowledge of Medical Terminology
- Additional Qualifications That Are a Plus: Minimum six months previous experience in an acute care hospital or physician's office preferred
