Telematics Installation Technician

About the role

As a Telematics Installation Technician, you will be responsible for a wide variety of technical duties to test, troubleshoot and repair after-market electronic systems on fleet equipment in various locations. This includes but is not limited to GPS, digital mobile radio, Electronic Logging device (ELD) and camera systems.

Responsibilities

• Test, troubleshoot and repair after-market electronic systems on fleet equipment in various locations
• Install GPS, digital mobile radio, ELD and camera systems
• Work in fast-paced environments under tight deadlines
• Collaborate and communicate with your teammates
• Enjoy the challenge of coordinating with multiple groups

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in auto wiring
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand and power tools
• Basic 12-volt electrical understanding
• A valid driver license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record
• Travel required

• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Auto wiring experience
• Basic 12-volt electrical understanding
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic systems
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments
• Good communication and collaboration skills

Pay

The salary range for this position is $27.00 - $35.00 per hour.
