About the Role

This is a remote, full-time Telehealth Counselor position for a licensed professional in Montana. The role involves providing brief, solution-focused telephonic and/or video counseling services. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of clinical counseling experience, the ability to work independently, and a flexible schedule to meet client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ presenting issues, establish treatment plans, and facilitate referrals to long-term treatment or community resources when clinically appropriate.
  • Maintain a full-time caseload of appointments daily.
  • Utilize brief, solution-focused interventions to resolve clients’ presenting issues.
  • Ensure safety for clients who present a risk to harm themselves or others.
  • Refer clients to long-term treatment, when clinically appropriate, using their benefit plan or community resources.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all client contacts in the ComPsych system per established procedures.
  • Strengthen professional knowledge through review of trends related to telehealth counseling, effective treatment modalities, and evidence-based interventions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of clinical counseling experience.
  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
  • Independent clinical license required.
  • Experience providing direct clinical services and solution-focused therapy.
  • Knowledge of treatment issues and Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services.
  • High-speed internet and a distraction-free workspace.
  • Ability to be on camera for work-related trainings, meetings, and events.
  • Ability to sit or stand at a desk for prolonged periods while working on a computer.

  • Exceptional communication skills with a strong focus on customer service and clinical judgment.
  • Quick thinking, high energy, positive, and professional demeanor.
  • Demonstrated multi-tasking and critical thinking skills.

Location

This is a remote position. The Telehealth Counselor must work remotely from Montana and hold an active license in the state of Montana.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $55,000 – $70,000 USD. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end for this role. Actual compensation will be influenced by factors such as previous experience, education, pay market/geography, and scheduled hours.
