Responsibilities

• Facilitate virtual medical consultations and appointments for patients requiring specialized care beyond the facility's capabilities.
• Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records, including medical histories, test results, treatment plans, and communication with external healthcare providers.
• Administer medications to patients and monitor for reactions and side effects.
• Monitor, record, and report symptoms or changes in patients' condition.
• Coordinate with external healthcare providers, schedule appointments, and ensure necessary medical records are prepared.
• Perform additional administrative tasks as assigned by the facility.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Active licensure as a Registered Nurse in Delaware or a multistate area.
• Possession of an active CPR certification.
• Knowledge of specific state laws and regulations governing nursing practice.
• Satisfactory completion of initial and annual clinical competencies.

Qualifications

• Experience in correctional health care settings is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
