Telecommunications Technician

About the role

The Role at Lumen is dedicated to providing high-speed internet and telecommunications services to businesses and consumers. We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to customers via phone, email, and remote access.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues related to network equipment and customer devices.
• Document and track service requests and resolutions using our ticketing system.
• Perform routine maintenance on network infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new technologies and improve service delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on IT support experience.
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP protocols, and common network devices.
• Proficiency in Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Experience with remote access tools such as TeamViewer or AnyDesk.
• Knowledge of basic cybersecurity principles and practices.

Skills

• Technical proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving complex IT issues.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay

Salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Schedule

This role is full-time and requires a minimum of 40 hours per week. Remote work is available for qualified candidates.
