Telecommunications Analyst

Location: Milwaukee, WI (Hybrid)

About the role

As part of the Information Management Services Division, you will support the County's enterprise communication systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing Avaya communication systems and translate requirements into administration, installation, and configuration for system upgrades and migrations.
• Design, configure, and support enterprise VOIP, video, and teleconference solutions, including Microsoft Teams Voice and related call-flow applications.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the VOIP/Teleconference system ensuring optimal service quality and system stability.
• Lead incident management processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to maintain system performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and vendors to deploy, enhance, and support the County’s communication infrastructure.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in enterprise voice and unified communications platforms, particularly with Avaya systems.
• Demonstrated experience with SIP trunking, SBCs, dial plans, call routing, and E911 administration.
• Knowledge of contact center and IVR design, implementation, and support.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies such as Microsoft Teams Voice.

Qualifications

Certifications such as Avaya Certified Integration Specialist (ACIS), Avaya Implementation Professional Specialist (AIPS), or similar are preferred.
