About the role

We currently have new opportunities for a Telecom Network Engineer to support the DLA in Columbus, OH. The selected applicant will design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot the Telecom/Collaboration architecture, addressing current infrastructure deficiencies and supporting evolving demands.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Telecom/Collaboration architecture under general supervision.
• Develop requirements to resolve or address current infrastructure deficiencies due to changing environmental demands.
• Perform project management tasks and communicate project statuses to stakeholders.
• Install and configure new devices, submit ECRs to request IPs, ports, and VMs as necessary.
• Work with Data Center POCs to secure rack, power, and connectivity.
• Develop specifications to submit solutions for simple, moderate, and complex problems.
• Coordinate with Vendor PMs, COTRs, and government user representatives to ensure accurate solutions and user satisfaction on technical matters.
• Provide input to short/long-term strategies and participate in budget planning.
• Perform at or above the Telecom Network Junior Engineer and VTC Lead equivalencies, including acting above or below grade/position as needed.

Requirements

• Two (2) to five (5) years of progressive Information Technology (IT) experience, including at least two projects in networking and/or Cisco Video Tele-Conferencing, with one project completed within the past three (3) years.
• Additional experience in Video Teleconferencing (VTC), including deployment, troubleshooting, and support in dynamic environments.
• Current/active Top-Secret security clearance (mandatory).
• Current/active IAT II certification (e.g., Security+) or higher (mandatory).
• U.S. Citizenship (mandatory).

Skills

• Implementing and Administering Cisco Solutions (CCNP) v1.0 (preferred) or CCNA v1.0 (minimum).
