Job Summary Aretum is seeking a skilled and motivated Telecom Invoicing and Billing Specialist. As a Telecom Invoicing and Billing Specialist, you will be supporting our client in public and private sector telecom invoicing and billing needs such as validation, reconciliation, and processing. Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements. ResponsibilitiesValidate vendor charges, reconcile accounts, and process payments using customer's financial systems such as TIMS, TOPS, VITAP, and PegasysResearch payment statuses, resolve discrepancies, and maintain accurate data in customer's business systemsElectronically process and transmit invoicesManage electronic mailboxes to ensure timely resolution of tickets and inquiriesReconcile vendor accounts with customer's contracts to ensure accuracyPrepare balance sheets, financial statements, and control documentsCollaborate with stakeholders to create and manage Business Objects reports as neededMonitor data accuracy and address discrepancies in income/expense, gross margin, and general ledger accountsAddress and resolve billing inquiries from customer agencies and vendorsMonitor and resolve chargebacks, non-IPAC delinquencies, and rejected IPACs by researching various systems and coordinating correctionsCommunicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of financial issuesProcess interagency agreements and manage funding documentationMaintain system portals for document storage and dissemination to stakeholdersSupport funds acceptance processing and maintain accurate records in customer's financial systemsIdentify opportunities to improve billing processes and recommend enhancementsProvide training and support to team members on reconciliation and invoicing processes Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience with telecom invoicing & billingAssociate's degree in accounting or a related field (1 year of additional experience is acceptable in lieu of a degree)Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.)Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasksStrong communication and organizational skillsAbility to adapt to changing project needs and timelinesAbility to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting federal government entities Travel RequirementsTravel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including education, experience, qualifications, skills, and applicable contract requirements.
