Pay Rate: $40-$43/hr – Contract position with 80% field work and 20% administrative work.
Responsibilities
- Executes overhead and underground construction duties: placing hard-line connectivity & platforms, framing and stranding poles, transferring facilities between poles, placing connectivity & platforms in joint trenches, and safely operating construction vehicles and trailers.
- Investigates and maintains accurate records for project start dates, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
- Instructs and enforces work site safety standards; conducts site visits to ensure compliance and participates in regular safety meetings with the crew.
- Supports specialists and leadership with project coordination.
- Generates logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
- Reviews, resolves, and follows up on customer requests and complaints.
- Monitors construction crew performance against established goals and objectives.
- Ensures regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; must be available to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as necessary.
- Coordinates and supervises daily activities of technical or production staff performing similar functions.
- Sets team priorities, assigns tasks, and checks work at regular intervals.
- Ensures all project work meets or exceeds Comcast, local, state, or federal standards and regulations.
- Updates JT or Polaris entries (job documents/maps) for path verification QC.
- Acts as the primary contractor interface in the field and serves as the NGAN liaison with regional network technicians.
- Ensures new or upgraded power supplies are in place and operational prior to cut dates.
- Oversees the quality of the NGAN product from contractor build to operations handoff.
Requirements
- Experience with both coax and fiber construction is required.
- Basic computer skills to use Microsoft products, Smartsheet, Teams, and P2 daily.
- Ability to identify cable company equipment, cable types, underground, and aerial installations.
- Ability to read design maps and prints.
- Network Maintenance Technician experience is a plus.
Pay
$40-$43 per hour.
Schedule
Variable schedule(s) including nights, weekends, and overtime as necessary.
