About the role

80% field work completing construction quality audits; 20% office PC tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Execute overhead/underground construction: place hard-line Connectivity & Platforms, frame and strand poles, transfer facilities between poles, install Connectivity & Platforms in joint trench, and safely operate construction vehicles and trailers.
  • Investigate and maintain accurate records for project start, milestone dates, production logs, material costs, and labor expenditures.
  • Instruct and enforce work-site safety standards; conduct site visits to ensure compliance and participate in crew safety meetings.
  • Support Specialists and leadership with project coordination.
  • Generate logs and reports on construction, projects, materials, and expenditures.
  • Review, resolve, and follow up on customer requests and complaints.
  • Monitor construction crew performance against established goals and objectives.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance; ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed.
  • Coordinate and supervise daily activities of technical or production staff performing similar functions.
  • Set team priorities, assign tasks, and check work at regular intervals.
  • Ensure all project work meets or exceeds Comcast, Local, State, or Federal standards and regulations.
  • Update JT or Polaris entries (job docs/maps) for path verification QC.
  • Serve as primary contractor interface in the field and act as NGAN liaison with Regional Network Technicians.
  • Ensure new or upgraded power supplies are in place and operational (in continuity) before cut dates.
  • Oversee the quality of the NGAN product from contractor build to Operations handoff.

Requirements

  • Both coax and fiber construction experience required.
  • Basic computer skills for daily use of Microsoft products, Smartsheets, Teams, and P2.
  • Network Maintenance Technician experience and ability to read design prints are a plus.
