Teen Health Education Internship

About the role

We are currently running programs in Clermont, Brown, Adams, Scioto, Gallia, and Lawrence counties. This internship offers 6-8+ hours per week during the academic year 2026-2027. A stipend and college credit are available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strong relationships with teen wellness leaders and site partners.
  • Assess schools' health needs and track progress.
  • Manage Teens Make Health Happen clubs, delivering HealthCorps programming.
  • Host Café O Yea demonstrations and support regional events.
  • Represent HealthCorps in the S. Ohio region.
  • Prioritize health and wellness, ensuring relevant resources are accessible.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate or graduate student majoring in public health, public policy, biology, nutrition, marketing, psychology, education, social work, or related fields.
  • In good academic standing with your university.
  • A commitment of 6-8+ hours per week for the entire internship period.
  • A self-expectation to grow as a leader and speaker on health-related topics.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to travel to assigned sites, up to 60 miles within the S. Ohio region.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at all times.
