Responsibilities
- Diagnose and Repair: Repair garage doors, door operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment (including doors), and replace springs.
- Educate Customers: Explain repair options in detail, help customers understand how to prevent future issues, and review completed work so they fully grasp what was done.
- Sell Services and Equipment: Use our proven model (trained by us) to sell services to customers using a good/better/best approach. Collect payments from customers.
- Manage Inventory: Ensure your vehicle is stocked with the right equipment, tools, and products to sell and complete repairs correctly.

Requirements
- Basic Requirements:
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods.
- Comfortable working in heat and cold, both outdoors and in garages without temperature control.
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and ability to follow our customer service process.
- Knowledge:
- Experience in the garage door industry is preferred but not required—we provide training.
- Ability to use a computer and/or tablet.
- Comfort with technology and using hand tools or operating mechanical equipment.
Pay and Benefits
We offer competitive salaries that match or exceed other trades. During your 90-day training period, you’ll receive a base hourly pay. After training, you’ll earn commissions based on the work you complete. Most technicians earn between $60,000 and $100,000 per year.
