Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair: Fix garage doors, operators, replace worn or broken parts, install new equipment (including doors), and replace springs.
- Educate customers: Explain repair options in detail, help customers understand how to prevent future issues, and review completed work so they fully grasp what was done.
- Sell services and equipment: Use our proven model (good/better/best) to recommend and sell services, repairs, and new equipment to customers. Process payments.
- Manage inventory: Keep your vehicle stocked with the right tools, equipment, and products to complete jobs efficiently.

Requirements
- Mechanical aptitude and technical skills.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds independently.
- Ability to bend, climb, kneel, and stand for long periods.
- Comfort working in heat, cold, and uncontrolled environments (e.g., garages without temperature control).
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with customers and resolve issues.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliability and adherence to our customer service process.
Preferred (but not required): Experience in the garage door industry. We will provide training.
- Comfort using computers/tablets and technology.
- Ability to use hand tools and operate mechanical equipment.
Pay and Benefits
- Competitive pay: During your 90-day training period, you’ll earn a base hourly rate. After training, you’ll transition to commission-based earnings. Most technicians earn between $60,000 and $100,000 annually.
