Technology Training Specialist

About the role
The Technology Training Specialist supports JCCC’s mission by developing and delivering training programs that enhance digital fluency, strengthen the effective use of enterprise applications, and build AI literacy among JCCC faculty and staff. The incumbent supports the college’s digital transformation by ensuring employees can confidently adopt new tools, workflows, and technologies including AI-powered capabilities within academic and administrative environments. Working collaboratively across IT service teams and campus partners, the specialist enables consistent, responsible, and user-centered adoption of digital tools that improve efficiency, teaching, learning, and operational outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver training on enterprise applications, collaboration tools, and AI-enabled capabilities.
- Create and maintain instructional materials including guides and on-demand content.
- Provide individualized coaching and support for faculty and staff adopting new tools.
- Collaborate with campus partners to assess training needs and align offerings with goals.
- Serve as liaison between IT service teams and end users during tool rollouts.
- Manage logistics for training delivery, scheduling, communication, and documentation.
- Monitor trends in educational technology and AI to recommend program improvements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
- Minimum of three years of experience developing and delivering technology training or instructional content in an educational or comparable environment.
- Experience supporting enterprise applications and digital collaboration platforms (e.g., Microsoft 365, Zoom, Canvas, Banner).
- Experience presenting to diverse groups in both in-person and virtual settings.

Pay
Starting salary range: $56,353–$73,290, determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week. No hybrid schedule opportunity.
