Qualifications

  • Computer Science Grades K-12 license to teach in Missouri or other state, or ability to teach computer science or technology in the country in which the teacher received their training
  • Bachelor's degree in education, literacy, language, technology, computer science or a closely related field

  • Teaching experience in PreK-8 setting
  • Solid understanding of academic and behavioral strategies for students with various needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide technology instruction to early childhood, elementary, and middle school students
  • Ensure safety of students by providing active supervision
  • Build strong relationships based on mutual respect across dimensions of difference with students, families, and all stakeholders
  • Provide appropriate, research-based scaffolds and differentiate instruction
  • Develop and use an effective classroom culture plan
  • Collect and analyze data, and use it to drive decisions
  • Prepare and implement daily lessons aligned to the curriculum
  • Provide high-quality and consistent input in the language of instruction per the dual language model

Pay

The annual salary for this position ranges from $50,000 to $70,440, based on the highest postsecondary degree obtained and years of experience. SLLIS salaries are higher than 97% of public schools in Missouri.
