Technology Teacher Grades 1-8
Position Overview
Wellan Montessori School is seeking an experienced Technology Teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. This is a full time position beginning in late August 2026.
About the Role
The Technology Teacher teaches classes in computer science, information technology, digital citizenship, and STEAM, including coding, 3D printing, robotics, and other related technologies, to students in grades 2–8. Through a project-based, hands-on approach, the Technology Teacher designs and implements an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving. The Technology Teacher coordinates several after-school technology programs, serves on Wellan's Technology Support Team, and provides technology support to the school community. The Technology Teacher inspires students to pursue excellence, build confidence in their abilities, and approach challenges with persistence and integrity. By guiding students to use technology as creators, not just consumers, the Technology Teacher helps them develop the skills and mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities, build responsible technology habits, and safely navigate an ever-evolving world of AI.
Responsibilities
- Teaches classes in computer science, information technology, digital citizenship, and STEAM, including coding, 3D printing, robotics, and other related technologies, to students in grades 2–8.
- Designs and implements an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters creativity, critical thinking, and real-world problem-solving.
- Coordinates several after-school technology programs.
- Serves on Wellan's Technology Support Team, providing technology support to the school community.
- Guides students to use technology as creators, not just consumers, helping them develop the skills and mindset needed to contribute meaningfully to their communities, build responsible technology habits, and safely navigate an ever-evolving world of AI.

Pay
Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Full Time, 40 hours per week, with attendance at night and weekend events outside of regular hours as needed.
Supervision
Reports to: Specials Division Leader, Dir. of Auxiliary Programs, and Business Office
