Duties & Responsibilities
- Sets up and assists with set up of computers and related equipment in an assigned school; loads and upgrades software.
- Configures and installs computers in both stand-alone and networked environments.
- Cleans computers, keyboards, tables and equipment.
- Troubleshoots hardware and software problems in computer labs and classrooms; arranges for repairs as necessary.
- Maintains building inventory of computers, software, peripherals and related equipment and materials.
- Conducts annual physical inventory and maintains database of inventory and equipment repairs.
- Checks out equipment to staff as needed.
- Maintains knowledge of hardware and software and makes recommendations as appropriate.
- Serves on school or district technology committees; participates in district-level training sessions.
- Assists in coordination of school-wide collection and distribution of student laptops.
- Coordinates and manages the use of technology related equipment such as sound and lighting in performing art centers or school media venues.
- Provides individual or small group training for teachers when necessary.
- Moves equipment and assists teachers in the set up of equipment.
- Communicates to staff with technology information about new equipment or software.
- Makes sure to provide assistance to students with class projects during open class, lunchtime, and before/after school, as directed by certified staff.
- Keeps track of computer use and provides assistance to students with class projects during open class, lunchtime, and before/after school, as directed by certified staff.

Qualifications
- High school graduation or equivalent and one year of experience supporting users in use of computers, peripherals, and software.
Skills
- Knowledge of Hardware and peripherals;
- Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems;
- printer configuration and general purpose software, including word processing;
- databases management, desktop publishing, spreadsheets, and communications.
- Knowledge of Set-up and operation of computers.

Physical Requirements
- Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- May work outdoors in inclement weather.
- May require physical mobility to move through a school campus, including up and down stairs and inside and outside.
Pay Range
AISP pay range F starting pay range $ 36.36/hour to $ 38.31/hour (starting rate is $36.36)
Benefits
This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement. Medical, dental, vision, long-term disability, and life-insurance eligibility is based upon 630 hours worked within a school year. Retirement provided through Washington State Department of Retirement Systems.
