Position Summary Information

Job Description Summary: The purpose of this position is to provide assistance to the Technology Resource Center Computer Technician in regards to training and support of all TRC employees.

  • Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED equivalency. One (1) – Two (2) years of intermediate computer knowledge. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Required Job Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Intermediate computer knowledge. Ability to organize activities and coordinate groups of people. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to work independently and follow-through on assigned tasks. Proficient clerical skills to include answering phones, filing, and general data entry. Ability to problem-solve, make decisions, and manage conflict. Strong customer service background. Ability to relate to students from all academic levels.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous Lab Assistant experience

Job Duties

  • Assist with the scheduling and training of TRC Part-time, Student Assistant and Work Study employees.
  • Oversee TRC operations daily and ensure they are handled professionally, efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage student issues, make decisions on checkouts, late fees and other issues.
  • Responsible for keeping all TRC employees informed of any department updates, daily tasks, department events/activities, and ensure coverage and cleanliness of the Technology Resources Center.
  • Provide daily operation update to the Technology Resources Center Computer Technician.
  • Maintain equipment inventory.
  • Maintain TRC files.
