About the Role

The Technology Representative (TR) supports, assists, and contributes to the predetermined sales goals and quotas within the assigned territory. This sales role requires travel between the office and various customer sites, promoting and selling medical products, devices, and supplies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with direct and indirect customers to grow and develop business within the assigned territory.
  • Promote and sell medical products, devices, or supplies to achieve sales targets.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to explain features, benefits, and usage.
  • Assist in covering surgical cases in assigned territory.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance knowledge and skills.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and new product developments.
  • Manage a designated sales territory, including scheduling and attending client meetings.
  • Provide after-sales support, addressing client inquiries and resolving product issues.
  • Ensure the safe and effective use of products in the operating room by providing clinical and educational value.
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and orders.
  • Pick up, transport, deliver, and maintain supplies and inventory required for demos, sales, and cases.
  • Complete calls, customer visits, and appointments to meet or exceed sales quotas.
  • Respond promptly to all communications (chat, email, calls).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, company policies, ethical sales practices, and credentialing requirements.
  • Travel frequently to job sites, meetings, appointments, surgeries, and training events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy, and pathology.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable transportation.
  • Adaptability, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Competitive spirit, self-motivation, and strong organizational abilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Resilience and adaptability in a competitive sales environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and smartphone technology.

Work Environment

The TR will spend significant time traveling to meetings, hospitals, and practices to engage with potential customers and support surgeries. The role involves constant interaction, problem-solving, and adapting to the needs of healthcare providers and the business.

Physical Requirements

  • Sitting for long periods, including driving between locations and periodic airline travel.
  • Standing for long periods in operating rooms or during product demonstrations.
  • Lifting and carrying medical devices and equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Walking extensively within large hospitals or medical facilities.
  • Dexterity and fine motor skills for setting up and demonstrating equipment.
