About the role

As a Senior Project Manager at EY, you will deliver IT projects to schedule, budget, and quality. The role requires mastery of project management process stages—initiate, plan, execute, monitor and control, and close—and supporting processes such as scope, cost, time, issue, risk, resource, communication, and stakeholder management. You will focus on EY’s Real Estate construction projects and the deployment of office technology, including AV, Network, Print, IoT solutions, Smart Lockers, and Workstation devices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of project charters and scopes, ensuring timely delivery of technology solutions aligned with construction project schedules and budgets.
  • Ensure alignment with EY stakeholder playbooks from pre-initiate through project closure.
  • Execute project management processes, integrating technology into construction phases, including scope, cost, time, risk, resource, and stakeholder management.
  • Monitor and control project activities to align with technology deployment objectives and construction timelines.
  • Manage risks, issues, and changes across business and IT components of construction projects.
  • Report variances to the approved project baseline, providing insights into technology integration challenges and successes.
  • Formalize project closure to ensure acceptance of technology solutions and release of project resources.
  • Interface and communicate effectively with project teams, management, and stakeholders for seamless technology deployment.
  • Oversee project work and resources to facilitate timely implementation of technology solutions.
  • Conduct gate reviews and quality assurance assessments for technology integration within construction projects.
  • Deliver projects aligned with business and technology strategies, following industry best practices for Real Estate construction.
  • Manage external contracts and suppliers supporting technology deployment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business cases for technology solutions aligned with office use requirements.
  • Define project objectives, phases, and content to deliver on business case benefits, budget, and timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to EY Technology’s quality project standards through approved processes and methodologies.

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Construction Management, or a related discipline; or equivalent work experience.
  • 15 to 20 years in a corporate IT environment.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in project management, particularly in construction-related IT projects.
  • Relevant experience in technical fields such as deployment/implementation and infrastructure within the construction industry.
  • Project management certification (PMI/CAPM or PMP, PRINCE2) is ideal.
  • Familiarity with ITIL v2 or v3.
  • Work experience in a professional services industry, particularly in construction-based technology deployment.

Skills

  • Proven experience managing IT projects for large, complex construction projects (up to $10 million, 12–18 months).
  • Mastery of project management methodologies, tools, and templates for technology deployment in construction.
  • Strong customer focus, openness, trust, and commitment to delivering on promises.
  • Experience managing contracts to ensure vendor and supplier compliance in technology agreements.
  • Familiarity with packaged and bespoke systems and infrastructure, ideally in an international construction context.
  • Ability to manage multiple large, complex projects simultaneously, particularly in technology deployment.
  • IT background with experience across office technology and product/solution life cycles.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard project methods, tools, and techniques for technology integration in construction.
  • Strong team collaboration skills across matrixed client, supplier, and geographically dispersed teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, conveying technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership in applying IT methodologies, processes, and standards for project management in construction technology.

Pay

The base salary range for this job in the US is $116,300 to $217,500. For New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $139,600 to $247,100. Individual salaries are determined by factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.
