About the role
The Technology Project Analyst Senior provides critical coaching, mentoring, and auditing functions on IT portfolio projects and processes within the IT Delivery Office (ITDO).
Responsibilities
- Ensures the review and quality of the project artifacts, deliverables, and process adherence to the Flagstar Bank Playbook and governance routines are being performed for their portfolio of projects.
- Audits and provides quality assurance of high or multiple medium rigor projects.
- Advises project managers on accurate project team, tasks, and financial information in Clarity.
- Supports scope of project with budget reconciliation in Clarity.
- Keeps current assigned project resources – both full-time employees and contractors in Clarity.
- Facilitates cross-functional agile collaborative teams in iterative technology developments including: managing stakeholder expectations regarding target scope, schedule, and budget.
- Advises project managers on project budget planning and development.
- Establishes project work plan and calendar framework for the projects they support, may update, review, and progress, collaborating with the project delivery resources.
- Establishes and maintains internal and external resources as necessary.
- Removes impediments that hinder project progress.
- Facilitates daily scrum, sprint planning, sprint demo, and iteration meetings.
- Makes sure the project development process follows the Project Management Methodology and IT Delivery Office standards.
- Documents and submits project change requests on behalf of the Project Manager or project coordinator.
- Contributes to the development of the IT Delivery Office and shares knowledge with peers.
- Provides advice to participants of the ITDO processes; serves as a liaison; acts as a resource person by performing research, analyzing information, providing documentation, and preparing reports as required.
Requirements
- Education level required: High School / High School Equivalency (GED, HiSET, TASC) / Foreign Equivalent
- Minimum experience required: 4+ Years of experience in coordinating projects of progressive size and complexity.
Qualifications
- Preferred Qualifications: Education level preferred: College, Vocational or Associates Degree (2 years or equivalent) .2 Years of equivalent project management field of study.
- Preferred Qualifications: 4+ years of experience with various Software Development Life Cycle methods such as Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall, etc. Project Management Methodologies.
Skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies.
- Knowledge of computers and database/spreadsheet/word processing software.
- Excellent communications and critical thinking skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accurately review and complete detail-oriented information.
- Ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision.
- Ability to work with a wide range of people.
- Strong Microsoft Professional Suite experience.
- Demonstrates a strong ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders by communicating clearly, engaging in proactive collaboration, and leveraging cross-functional insights.
