Responsibilities

  • Leverages organizational project management experience and subject matter expertise to analyze, develop, and coordinate plans for assigned programs or projects.
  • Develops and maintains project planning networks for complex projects.
  • Acts as FM&T point-of-contact for internal and external customer projects as assigned.
  • Reports status of project plans and collaborates with project step owners and other stakeholders to assure commitments and timelines are met.
  • Constructively contributes to developing, implementing, and/or negotiating changes to project plans with internal and external customers.
  • Escalates issues, initiates customer contact when warranted, and partners with team members to develop, present, and implement appropriate recovery or corrective action plans.
  • Compiles data, analyzes results, prepares and maintains documentation, and proposes and implements recommendations, for a variety of organizational requirements, projects, and special studies.
  • Effectively prioritizes and manages concurrent multi-project priorities.
  • Understands department systems and functions, identifies opportunities for efficiency and improvement, and initiates, participates in and/or leads, implementing continuous improvement actions.
  • May perform contract management activities related to establishing/setup, maintaining, or closing of customer order contracts.
  • May compile, coordinate, monitor and maintain financial and budgeting reports.
  • Mentors and coaches less experienced and/or newer project analysts and other team members.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in project planning, management, or similar role/discipline.
  • A Bachelor’s degree or, in lieu of Bachelor’s degree, a minimum of 2 additional years of experience above minimum (5+2) in a directly related field.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business.
  • Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, recommending, and implementing resolutions of project related problems.
  • Knowledge of commercial or governmental budgetary processes and guidelines.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communications skills; ability to effectively interface and build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
  • Detail oriented; possess professional presence, and problem-solving and decision-making judgement.

Qualifications

  • Track metrics such as Lead times on time to fill for onboarding new hires, trainings, deployments, & conversion rates from each Career Event to leadership.
  • Maintain the master repository for all project documentation.
  • Gather and analyze data to justify strategy for Hiring decisions.
  • Maintain project dashboards and status reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide onboarding assistance for New Hires.
  • Use tools such as Excel, Tableau to visualize trends and support decision-making.
  • Identify bottlenecks in document workflows, event planning, or administrative processes; propose and implement enhancements.
  • Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for repeatable tasks.
