Technology Product Analyst Intern

Responsibilities

  • Recommends and establishes appropriate KPIs, monitors and analyzes key metrics in order to execute recurring analyses and reporting
  • Works as part of the Product Management team to ask the right questions, measure the right things and interpret metrics to tell a meaningful story about product usage and trends
  • Independently analyzes and interprets feature usage to suggest enhancements; help us prioritize and maintain urgency of new features
  • Helps design tests for beta/pilot/early adopter programs to ensure successful adoption of a new product or feature
  • Understands how user interactions translate to data that provides insights on behavior and defines and creates reports and dashboards with meaningful data interpretations, data segments, filters and flows that communicate product and/or feature performance
  • Employs lean methodology to help define business problems, form hypotheses, test and validate solutions, and continue with the build > measure > learn cycle
  • Executes on the discovery phase of the SDLC through identifying possible feature/functionality needs and completing research from both a business need and a value/ROI perspective
  • Maintains and updates documentation on product design and implementation

Requirements

  • Must be a recent graduate or current student pursuing their master's degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics etc.
  • Great problem solving, and analytical skills combined with Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to setup, manage and maintain analytics software like Mixpanel, Flurry, Google Analytics, or similar software
  • Experience with quantitative research methods and displaying results using Tableau or other reporting platforms
  • Ability to learn and use product management software, such as JIRA, or other applications
  • Must be able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects
  • Knowledge of Agile SCRUM and Lean methodologies preferred
  • Prior experience as a business analyst or any other software development role
