Product Engineering Intern
Job Responsibilities
- Work on detailed engineering assignments.
- Follow instructions or independently evaluate and apply engineering techniques.
- Support team efforts related to product, process, tooling, testing, and materials.
- Take direction from other staff engineers and Engineering Managers for predevelopment engineering activities.
- Understand and adhere to program schedules and report progress as required.
- Serve as a liaison and coordinate development activities with internal and external resources.
- Provide a problem-solving function by initiating actions to overcome obstacles.
- Engage in continuous improvement efforts.
- Research, recommend, and implement new and/or existing products, processes, materials, and equipment.
- Participate in comparative and competitive analysis to ensure the use of appropriate beneficial techniques.
- Support team efforts in benchmarking automotive and non-automotive parts when necessary.
- Perform other duties as necessary for project completion and departmental goals.
