About the role

You will serve as a Consultant to the Government-led team that Defines and implements strategies to identify commercially available solutions to enable the NGA efforts to provide an integrated customer service experience and deliver world-class geospatial knowledge, content and services to customers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Uses innovative approaches and non-traditional methodologies to solve customer problems and develop new capabilities in support of the NGA’s GEOINT online services.
  • Identifies and exploits the innovations of others, including industry, partners and customer communities.
  • Develops follow-on as well as new NGA acquisition strategies to obtain critical skills sets to augment the Government workforce.
  • Supports collaborative teams of multi-functional resources in the delivery of specific technical and/or process projects.
  • Aids the Government in the preparation of Acquisition documents and briefings to meet NGA Acquisition milestones.
  • Provides expertise to align technical requirements with acquisition strategies.
  • Supports the Government multi-functional team throughout the entire Acquisition process.
  • Supports the development of pre-acquisition documentation in preparation for a new NGA acquisition.
  • Analyzes and evaluates new emergent technologies and /or processes for opportunity and application to NGA Initiatives.
  • Provides advice on business case development for NGA strategic initiatives.
  • Supports to the management of multiple concurrent technology projects from problem definition through new capability adoption.
  • Supports the implementation of new strategies to expedite prototype testing and feedback quickly and spur agile acquisitions.
  • Uses knowledge of industry trends to influence NGA planning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a business-related field such as Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
  • Project Management certification such as PMP or DAWIA Level III, or equivalent experience with project management tools and techniques.
  • 15 years of specialized and 20 years of cumulative experience in Program Management.

Qualifications

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

Skills

  • MBA in Business or International Business.
  • Demonstrated specialized experience with enterprise architecture and/or solutions architecture.
  • Demonstrated specialized experience in the development of pre-acquisition and acquisition documentation.
  • Demonstrated specialized experience with acquisition strategies and approaches for follow-on or new enterprise contract vehicles, in the procurement of critical skills sets and staff augmentation for the government.
  • Demonstrated experience with leading value chain analysis; brain storming sessions; concept development, table top exercises or risk assessments.
  • Demonstrated experience in recommending strategies and developing plans to effectively manage risk across the project or organization.
