Technology Integration Administrator
About the role
The Technology Integration Administrator serves as a vital link between industrial manufacturing instructors specifically and CTE instructors in the Manufacturing and Technology Center, and the IT department. This role ensures the seamless operation and integration of advanced manufacturing equipment within the educational setting, supporting instructors and students in achieving educational success.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with CTE instructors to integrate new and emerging technologies into the curriculum and ensure that technological tools align with educational goals to enhance student learning outcomes.
- Work closely with IT/O&M to ensure new technologies can be supported, and implementation time is considered.
- Identify, analyze, and troubleshoot technology issues; serve as the initial point of contact for resolving technical problems related to manufacturing equipment and software.
- Address issues that disrupt educational activities, ensuring minimal downtime and continuity in instruction.
- Escalate issues to other departments such as IT/O&M to perform any work outside of the scope/responsibilities of this position.
- Maintain and update MTC Instructional equipment and software protocols.
- Oversee the upkeep of advanced manufacturing equipment and ensure software is current and functioning optimally.
- Work closely with IT department to implement protocols for regular maintenance and updates.
- Monitor and evaluate technological effectiveness: Assess the impact of integrated technologies on teaching and learning and recommend improvements or replacements based on performance and educational value.
- Stay current with technological advancements. Continuously research and stay informed about new developments in manufacturing technologies. Propose innovative solutions and tools that could benefit the educational environment.
- Cultivate strong, strategic partnerships with the IT Department by serving as a key liaison between instructional leadership and IT professionals. Collaborate closely with managers, directors, and senior directors to ensure alignment between academic technology needs and institutional priorities. Facilitate effective communication and coordination to support the successful implementation and integration of technology solutions across instructional areas.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, education, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 full years of experience with manufacturing technologies and software including robotics, automation, CAD, CAM, PLCs, and G-code programming.
- Minimum of 3 full years providing technical coordination and support for specialized manufacturing instructional technologies in an educational or manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of industrial manufacturing processes, equipment, and software.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills, ability to train and support non-technical users, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Position requires occasional evening or weekend hours and involves troubleshooting, technical maintenance, and direct support in labs and classrooms.
- Experience with networking, cybersecurity, and interconnected systems.
- Experience using cloud computing and big data technologies.
- Certification in relevant IT or manufacturing fields.
- Previous experience in a community college or educational setting.

Pay
$73,983 to $98,000 annually, commensurate with experience and education.
Schedule
Full-Time, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, may require occasional weekend or evening hours.
