About the role
By joining PNC’s Technology Development Program, you can explore your potential through hands-on experience in a professional environment. This 12-month program is designed to move associates from development roles into production roles within PNC’s lines of business.
The Technology Development Program offers rotations through multiple areas of Technology, allowing you to build a network of colleagues, gain a 360-degree view of application development, and understand security and risk controls. Upon successful completion, you may be placed permanently into a full-time role such as Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or Data Engineer based on interest and aptitude.
You will leverage cutting-edge technology and next-generation tools, support the customer experience, and participate in experiential learning opportunities, including design thinking, collaboration tools, and soft skills development. The program includes a dedicated hack-a-thon to demonstrate technical and collaboration skills.
Associates will work on software development that empowers users with secure, stable, and efficient technology solutions, including designing, structuring, and engineering infrastructure, platforms, and interfaces. Recent projects include automation of consumer account document evaluation and implementation of fraud detection technologies.
Locations for this program include Pittsburgh, PA; Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX; Denver, CO; and Phoenix, AZ.
Responsibilities
- Participate in multiple rotations within Data or Engineering to gain exposure to rapid development principles and innovation tactics.
- Design, structure, and engineer infrastructure, platforms, and interfaces while working iteratively to reduce toil.
- Develop software solutions that empower users with secure, stable, and efficient technology.
- Engage in experiential learning opportunities, including design thinking, collaboration tools, and soft skills development.
- Participate in a dedicated hack-a-thon to demonstrate technical and collaboration skills.
- Collaborate with teams across the organization to support the customer experience and drive innovation.
Requirements
- Recent university/college graduate with little or no professional experience but possessing relevant skills.
- In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
- Bachelor’s degree required.

Pay
Base Salary: $52,500.00 – $87,500.00. Salaries may vary based on geographic location, market data, and individual skills, experience, and education.
