Technology Analyst 2 (Human Centered Design)

About the role

Under the direction of the Information Technology Architect 2, SG-27, the Technology Analyst 2 (Human-Centered Design), SG-25, will be responsible for designing and overseeing the implementation of business systems and tools, aiming to establish a safe and ergonomically comfortable work setting. The position will collaborate with business managers and information technology (IT) professionals to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications, creating products and technologies that meet user needs for comfort, accessibility, and function. This position will directly supervise a team of Technology Analyst 1’s (Human-Centered Design), SG-23.

Responsibilities

• Work planning and oversight, technical problem solving and communication / collaboration with other teams within business functions.
• Support less-experienced team members in interface design, development, and implementation.
• Provide leadership for assigned organizational responsibilities, programs, and personnel, including team collaboration, work processes, infrastructure, and technical oversight.
• Assess departmental needs to determine optimum utilization for interfaces.
• Translate user research data into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences for system operators.
• Oversee and monitor ongoing data exchange and interface operations.
• Coordinate, test, and perform system and software upgrades to the interface engine(s).
• Assist with producing thought leadership resources such as whitepapers and presentations.
• Prepare, coordinate, and conduct both predictive and empirical workload analysis as well as usability assessments.
