Technologist - MRI

About the role

This role involves performing imaging procedures and treatments in accordance with radiology standards to support diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrating a strong understanding of radiologic principles and selecting appropriate techniques and positioning for optimal results.
• Developing and implementing procedure/treatment plans following established protocols.
• Completing documentation to comply with policies and maintaining equipment, rooms, and work areas in a safe, organized condition.
• Participating in performance improvement activities to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Achieving assigned goals efficiently.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of experience in the specialty area, meeting MRI competencies.
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in radiology or MRI preferred, with BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer skills.
• Licensure as required, with registration and certification obtained within specified timeframes.
• The position does not involve supervisory duties and requires physical activity levels ranging from sedentary to heavy, involving lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, and walking.
• Environmental and sensory requirements: include exposure to blood-borne pathogens and radiation, with visual and auditory discrimination capabilities necessary for safe and effective performance.
