Technologist - Mammography

About the role

Performs imaging procedures and treatments following radiology standards to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Responsible for developing and implementing procedure plans, utilizing appropriate techniques, and ensuring optimal results.

Responsibilities

• Applying radiologic principles with proper positioning and technique
• Completing documentation per hospital policies
• Maintaining equipment and work areas in a safe, clean condition
• Participating in quality improvement activities
• Achieving assigned goals

Requirements

• Basic computer skills
• BLS certification within 30 days
• State licensure as needed

Qualifications

• 6 months mammography experience (preferred)
• ARRT(R) certification (preferred)
• ARRT(M) certification within 12 months (preferred)
• Must be registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Preferred certification in mammography (ARRT(M))
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within specified timeframe
