Technologist - Mammography

Job Summary Performs imaging procedures and treatments in accordance with radiology standards to assist in diagnosis and treatment. Also responsible for supporting departmental operations and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities Applies radiologic principles and techniques to produce optimal imaging results.Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans following hospital protocols.Completes documentation to ensure compliance with policies.Maintains equipment and work areas in a safe, clean condition.Participates in quality improvement activities to uphold patient care standards.Achieves assigned goals and contributes to team performance. Qualifications & Skills Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), with ARRT(M) preferred; must obtain within 12 months if not already certified.Minimum of 6 months experience in mammography is preferred.Basic computer literacy required.State licensure and BLS certification required; ARRT(R) certification essential.
