Technologist Assistant - Imaging

About the role

Under the direction of the clinical manager, you will assist with patient transport, screening, room set-up, and patient preparation for exams. You will prepare contrast for exams, load contrast injectors as needed, provide patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist, and document education in the patient electronic record. You will follow magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) Level II training requirements and standards where applicable, and collaborate with clinical staff to meet department turnaround times and maintain appropriate exam start times. Responsibilities may be adjusted based on patient volumes or department needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient transport and screening
• Set up exam rooms and prepare patients for procedures
• Prepare and load contrast for exams, including contrast injectors
• Provide patient education as instructed by the Imaging Technologist
• Document patient education in the electronic health record
• Follow MRI Level II training requirements and standards (where applicable)
• Work with clinical staff to maintain department turnaround times and exam start times

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• 6 months of hospital transport or related experience (required for inpatient/hospital positions)

Preferred Qualifications

• Business-related, imaging services, or medical office experience

Schedule

• Full-time, non-exempt position
• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
• Occasional weekend work
• No on-call requirement
• No remote work
