About the role

We are seeking a highly experienced Techno-Functional Consultant – Enterprise eCommerce to define, design, govern and drive the technology architecture for complex digital commerce ecosystems. The candidate will act as a senior technology authority across B2B, B2C, D2C and omnichannel commerce, translating business objectives into scalable functional and technical solutions. The role requires deep practical knowledge of multiple eCommerce platforms, with the ability to evaluate, design, integrate, modernize and govern commerce solutions across different technology landscapes. The ideal candidate should possess substantial hands-on experience with SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris, Shopify / Shopify Plus, Commerce Layer or equivalent composable commerce platforms, together with strong knowledge of API-first architecture, microservices, cloud, ERP/CRM/PIM/OMS integration, payments, search, customer identity and modern frontend architectures. The individual will work closely with business leaders, product owners, enterprise architects, engineering teams, system integrators and senior stakeholders to define application architecture, integration patterns, technology standards, implementation roadmaps and technical governance. The candidate must have practical experience designing solutions for both enterprise B2B and B2C environments, including complex pricing, customer/account hierarchies, product catalogs, promotions, checkout, order management, inventory, fulfillment, payments and post-order processes.

Qualifications

  • Total Work Experience: Minimum 15+ years of professional IT experience, with 12+ years of practical eCommerce / Digital Commerce experience
  • Domain Focus: Enterprise B2B & B2C Commerce, Digital Commerce, Omnichannel, Headless & Composable Ecosystems
  • Primary Platform Focus: SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris, Shopify / Shopify Plus, Commerce Layer / Composable Commerce and other leading enterprise eCommerce platforms
  • Architecture Experience: Minimum 7+ years of solution/application architecture experience
  • Implementation Experience: Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end enterprise eCommerce implementations

Technical Experience Requirements

  • Enterprise eCommerce Platform Architecture – SAP Commerce / SAP Hybris (Minimum 5 Years):
    • Designing and implementing enterprise B2B and B2C commerce solutions using SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris
    • Defining product catalog, customer, pricing, promotion, cart, checkout and order-management architectures
    • Designing OCC/API integrations; configuring Backoffice, CMS, Solr/Search and commerce services
    • Integrating SAP Commerce with enterprise ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, WMS and payment platforms
    • Expertise in: SAP Commerce Cloud / SAP Hybris architecture, Product Catalog and Catalog Management, B2B and B2C Commerce, OCC APIs, Cart and Checkout, Pricing and Promotions, Order Management, Customer Management, Backoffice, ImpEx, FlexibleSearch, CronJobs, Solr, CMS / SmartEdit, SAP ERP / S4HANA integration, Performance and scalability architecture
  • Shopify / Shopify Plus Architecture (Minimum 3 Years):
    • Designing enterprise Shopify / Shopify Plus implementations, including multi-store and multi-market architectures, headless storefronts, custom applications, checkout extensibility, APIs, webhooks
    • Integrations with ERP, OMS, PIM, CRM, payment and fulfillment systems
    • Expertise in: Shopify / Shopify Plus, Shopify APIs (REST and GraphQL), Shopify Functions, Shopify Flow, Checkout extensibility, Webhooks, Custom applications, Multi-store architecture, Multi-market commerce, B2B capabilities, Headless Shopify, Hydrogen or equivalent architectures, ERP / OMS / PIM integrations, Payment integrations
  • Composable, Headless & Commerce Layer Architecture (Minimum 2 Years):
    • Designing API-first, headless and composable commerce ecosystems using Commerce Layer, commercetools or equivalent enterprise platforms
    • Defining independently deployable commerce services and integrating them with modern experience, ERP, PIM, OMS, payment and customer platforms
    • Preferred Platforms: Commerce Layer, commercetools, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce / Magento, BigCommerce, Elastic Path, VTEX, Spryker, Salesforce B2B Commerce, Other enterprise-grade commerce platforms
    • Expertise in: Headless Commerce, Composable Commerce, API-first architecture, MACH principles, Microservices, Domain-driven architecture, API orchestration, Event-driven architecture, Decoupled frontend, Commerce service architecture
  • B2B Commerce & Enterprise Customer Architecture (Minimum 5 Years):
    • Designing enterprise B2B commerce applications supporting complex organizational structures, customer-specific catalogs, contract pricing, approval workflows, purchasing processes and ERP-driven order lifecycles
    • Expertise in: B2B account hierarchy, Organizations and business units, Multiple users and roles, Customer-specific catalogs, Customer-specific pricing, Contract pricing, Volume / tier pricing, Negotiated pricing, RFQ / quotation, Purchase orders, Credit limits, Payment terms, Buyer / approver workflows, Quick order / bulk order, Reorder, Punchout, EDI, Sales representative / assisted commerce, ERP-driven order management
  • B2C / D2C & Omnichannel Commerce Architecture (Minimum 7 Years):
    • Designing high-volume B2C and D2C commerce experiences covering customer acquisition, product discovery, personalized experiences, checkout, payment, order management, fulfillment, returns and customer service
    • Expertise in: Product discovery, Search and navigation, Product detail, Pricing, Promotions, Personalization, Customer accounts, Cart, Checkout, Payment, Order management, Returns and refunds, Loyalty, Click & collect, Ship-from-store, Inventory visibility, Omnichannel customer journeys, Customer self-service
  • API, Integration & Microservices Architecture (Minimum 7 Years):
    • Designing enterprise integration architectures connecting commerce platforms with ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS, WMS, payment gateways, tax engines, marketing platforms, logistics providers and other enterprise applications
    • Expertise in: REST APIs, GraphQL, SOAP, JSON / XML, Webhooks, API Gateway, OAuth 2.0, OpenID
