Basic Qualifications
- Proficient in mechanical and electrical assembly.
- Ability to read and work from work instructions, schematics, engineering drawings, wiring lists, sketches, wiring connection lists, and/or other information and documentation.
- US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Ability to travel to remote sites to support field operations.
Job Description
- Fabricate, assemble, and test complex assemblies/subsystems.
- Inventorize and inspect parts for compliance with work instructions and other documentation.
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Align, fit, and assemble parts using hand tools and fixtures.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate the performance of parts, assemblies, or systems under simulated operating conditions and record results.
- Support assembly, subsystem test, pack & ship operations.
- Collaborate with engineers and other personnel to identify, define, and solve problems.
- Create and work in a team environment while implementing Continuous Process Improvement.
- Be able to give/take work direction to/from team members.
Desired Skills
- Usage and knowledge of adhesives and bonding materials.
- Knowledge and experience in crane operations, lifting, and handling.
- Knowledge of proper use of standard hand tools.
- Knowledge of test and measurement equipment (i.e., multi-meters, scales, or torque wrenches).
- Knowledge of ordnance handling.
