Technician, Senior Communications, Avaya
Key Responsibilities
- Installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting for Avaya Communications equipment, including CM, Session Manager, System Manager, G430 and G450 media gateways, and Voicemail.
- Aid the projects group with the implementation of project-related systems.
- Support and first-level training of field operations personnel.
- Work with carrier services on voice networks for installing, provisioning, and troubleshooting voice and data infrastructures.
- Provide 24x7 on-call support.
- Travel up to 50%.
Required Qualifications
- A high school degree or G.E.D.
- An Associate's degree in Electronics or 7 years of equivalent experience in the field of Electronics.
- 7 years of experience in the installation and/or maintenance of Avaya telecommunications systems.
- The ability to utilize test equipment and software required to support Avaya telecommunications systems in the field.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- The ability to work independently of direct supervision and prioritize assigned activities.
- The ability to interact with internal and external teams to solve problems.
- The physical ability to work in an outdoor environment and safely and effectively operate a motor vehicle.
Preferred Qualifications
- A network certification such as a CCNA.
