Education/Experience
- Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Mechatronic or equivalent field
- 5 years of relevant work experience in a manufacturing environment
- 2–3 years experience in electronic testing environment

- Basic troubleshooting skills

- Knowledgeable in using measurement tools and operating equipment (multimeters, power supplies and data logger)
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft applications
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform baseline and posttest measurement for all Reliability test on sample modules pulled out from production line as per defined schedule.
- Communicate any abnormal test results immediately to relevant stakeholder for containment and corrective action.
- Perform first level maintenance on test equipment and communicate to relevant authorities if any abnormalities found on test equipment.
- Responsible for maintenance of Quality Control Procedures and records per Company Policy and ISO Standards.
Reporting Relationships
This position is reporting to Quality Engineer - III
Travel
Approximately 1~2 months of travel is required during a given year.
Physical Requirements
- Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to the entire duration of a shift.
- Will walk, climb stairs and on equipment.
- May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist
- 20/40 vision in each eye, with or without correction, is required.
- May lift up to 50 lbs.
- Required to use hands to finger, lift, handle, carry or feel objects.
- Must be able to comply with all safety standards and procedures.
- May stoop, kneel, bend, talk and hear.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including but not limited to; steel-toed shoes, gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective jacket or apron and arm guards).
- All associates working at a First Solar manufacturing or R&D facility may be required to wear a respirator at any given time and thus, the ability to wear a respirator is a condition of employment and continued employment (requires little or no facial hair)
