Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform First Article, In-Process, and Final Inspections following established work instructions.
  • Use standard measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify part dimensions.
  • Absorb and coordinate with outside calibration labs for calibration activities, including tool preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete inspection and calibration records.
  • Create and manage nonconformances from open to close, investigate, determine acceptance criteria, and disposition.
  • Communicate findings clearly to production personnel and escalate concerns appropriately.
  • Maintain assigned work area, equipment, and documents in an organized and compliant state.
  • Demonstrate teamwork by focusing on assigned responsibilities, collaborating respectfully with QA and production personnel.
  • Participate in audits and adhere to company safety and environmental policies.
  • Adhere to all attendance requirements based on the assigned shift from the supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of QA experience or similar manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of multiple value streams within GF.
  • Skilled with measurement equipment and ERP systems.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting complex drawings.
  • Competent in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience with data reporting and analysis, and root cause tools (e.g., 5 Whys, fishbone).
  • Strong analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment when accepting or rejecting product.
  • Maintains focus on QA responsibilities, teamwork, and adherence to procedures when resolving quality issues.

Education And Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of QA experience or similar manufacturing environment.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements

  • Typical office/factory environment with possibility of exposure to heat and cold in production areas.
  • Necessary operate computer terminal for extended periods.
  • Maintain a 40 hours work week and have ability to work longer hours as required.
  • Must be able to view written and printed material for extended periods.
  • Must be capable of working in the manufacturing environment using proper safety equipment.
