Technician Pulmonary Function- Pulmonary- Hudson Valley

About the role

This position is located at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Hudson Valley Medical Group in Cortlandt Manor, NY. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with flexible start times between 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM, subject to operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Administers pulmonary function testing, including spirometry, flow volume loops with and without bronchodilator, DLCO, MVV, Maximum Pressure, Body Plethysmography, and Broncho Provocation studies (Methacholine).
• Administers six minute walk test, oximetry pulse studies, 02 therapy, metered-dose inhalers and nebulizer treatment.
• Educates patients regarding pulmonary medications and use of oxygen.
• Maintains pulmonary function equipment and associated supplies, including proper cleaning and disinfection per policy.
• Completes reports for pulmonary function tests and distributes to ordering physicians.
• May schedule appointments when necessary.
• Performs other job duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Registered Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care.
• Associate’s Degree in Applied Science and Respiratory Therapy.
• New York State Respiratory Therapist License.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification (BCLS).

Pay

$49.85 - $63.35/Hourly.
