About the role
Our Garrettsville, OH Energizer facility produces products used in our North American battery manufacturing plants to make our renowned Energizer and Ray-O-Vac branded batteries. This person will perform several tasks associated with maintaining the plastic injection molding process, equipment related to injection molding machines, servo robots, grinders, trimming equipment, loader systems, facilities support, and other related duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform technician skilled duties, including injection molding process knowledge (pressures, velocity, melt, fill time, ejector bars, etc.).
- Start and stop injection molding equipment.
- Install and remove molds, trim dies, grinders, and other auxiliary equipment to produce plastic parts.
- Troubleshoot, correct, repair, and optimize injection molding machines, robots, trim dies, and all support equipment (thermolators, loader systems, grinders, conveyors, etc.).
- Analyze equipment conditions for root cause and apply appropriate skills to resolve issues.
- Operate a fork truck for tasks such as pulling and setting molds or changing trim dies.
- Read, record, and monitor machine operational data, including instructions, formulas, and processing graphs.
- Assist with preventative maintenance on molds and equipment as needed.
- Demonstrate and promote safe work practices consistent with OSHA and Energizer safety policies, including lock out tag out (LOTO).
- Interact and assist colleagues with molding problems and maintain respectful communication with colleagues and management.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- 5 or more years of work experience with plastic injection molding and facilities equipment.
- Must be legally authorized to work full time in the U.S.
- Tow motor and scissor lift experience is a plus.
Skills
- Basic math for problem-solving.
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge.
- Self-directing, as this position may be the sole resource for the shift.

Pay
The pay rate for this position is up to USD $28.85 per hour.
Schedule
(2) Open Positions: (1) 12-hour day shift and (1) 12-hour night shift.
