Technician, Private Reserve Guitars

Responsibilities

• Conducts performance tests on new and returned instruments to evaluate their sound quality and identify defects.
• Repair and recondition new or used instruments as required.
• Polish instruments using rags, compounds, buffing wheels, and burnishing tools to return instruments to sellable stock.
• Record and enter serial numbers and other instrument data into inventory software for site exposure.
• Performs customer returns and disposition of returned goods and grade them appropriately for the Open Box Program.
• Work with vendors to obtain additional and replacement parts for instruments.
• Other duties as assigned, such as maintaining current product knowledge on new developments in the industry.

Requirements

• Associate's Degree preferred, or 2 years equivalent experience
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school
• Entry level, zero years of relevant experience
• Intermediate knowledge of guitar and bass set up and repair
